With its unmistakable looks and technical ingenuity, Audemars Piguet (Also known simply as AP) is one of the finest Swiss watches you can own. Over the years, this fine Swiss watch brand has created timepieces that exude excellence in several different areas, including grand complications, complicated masterpieces, and technically advanced sports watches. Many famous figureheads such as rapper Jay-Z, golf legend Nick Faldo, and racecar driver Juan Pablo Montoya proudly wear Audemars Piguet as their timepiece of choice. Every distinctive model in the AP collection is truly a masterpiece in its own right.
Founded in 1881 by Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet, this Swiss watch making firm has been producing some of the finest complicated watches known to man. In 1906, AP was the first company to ever produce a wristwatch that featured a minute repeater, and created the smallest minute repeating mechanism in the world by 1915. By 1970, the firm had developed an automatic movement with a date feature measuring 3.05mm in thickness. After creating some of the finest and thinnest movements the world had ever seen, Audemars Piguet broke into the world of luxury timepieces with its famous Royal Oak. In 1992, AP introduced the Triple Complication, which not only kept accurate measure of the time and date, but it also knew how many days were in each month of the year. As if that weren't enough for the Triple Complication, the watch also kept track of leap years; truly amazing considering there are no digital devices involved.
Audemars Piguet has certainly established itself among the ranks of the finest timepieces on the planet. AP's collections include: Royal Oak, Royal Oak Offshore, Perpetual Calendar, Grande Complication, Chronograph, and Tourbillon.
